Ha ha HeadKnowsHeartDoesnt. Don`t speak was my stbx`s favourite song. He even made me try and explain what I thought it was about some years ago. Guess I should have seen the signs.
My favourite will always be, I will survive by Tina Turner.
The greatest love of all by Whitney Houston.
Singing them at top volume in the shower really kicks you into a good place.

Sounds like you are felling a bit more positive today if your last choice is anything to go by !! Really glad.

How's about 'Break on through to the other side' - the Doors ?

I have various playlists for the various stages and emotions I went through over my long divorce. I have to say, I couldn't have held it together without music!

Here a few favs...

I can do better - Avril Lavigne
Bulletproof - La Roux
Part of me - Katy Perry
Roar - Katy Perry
Best thing I never had - Beyonce
Irreplaceable - Beyonce
Big girls don't cry - Fergie
Get the party started - Pink
Just like a pill - Pink
So what - Pink
Back to black - Amy Winehouse
Tears dry on their own - Amy Winehouse
Ridin' solo - Jason Derulo
Never ever - All Saints
Survivor - Destiny's Child
Somebody that I used to know - Gotye

I could go on. These were some of my more empowering and strengthening songs. But sometimes you just need to feel sorry for your self and have a good cry to get it out of your system. I have a very depressing play-list for that.;)

Alice Cooper - I'm eighteen !

I definitely feel a sense of Freedom ( George Michael ) today. Realise now how controlling the ex could be. Since he's been gone ( Rainbow ) making decisions by myself has been a bit scary, and I've buggered up on occasion, but I'm going to learn to enjoy it again.

There has got to be a (Mr) brightside ( Killers) to all this.

Morning All,

Firstly thank you to everyone for their suggestions, I have listened to some really great music, some that I've never heard before so thank you for sharing it really means a lot.

I have woken up this morning and spent the last hour on Spotify going through the suggestions and just sat here smiling to myself as these are so perfect :cheer:

Like some of the posters, I'm waking to good days and some tough ones but I can't tell you how much fun this has been.

For anyone on Spotify, please DM me and I will share the complete playlist with you, there are some cracking songs on there!

And the offer of further submissions is still open!

Martin - you cheeky git.

Looking ahead - ok now I feel old again. Have only just got to grips with iTunes, I think Spotify may be beyond me. Glad you are enjoying the music though.

Declan - I hope this doesn't sound like an insult but when I first read your posts, Dylan with his guitar, from the magic roundabout came to mind as you seem so laid back. At least I was right about the guitar part !

Having a brilliant day today. Daughter- in France, Son - on university visit, Me - dancing around the house in shorts ( sounds very sad but it's the first time I have worn them in 18 years as the ex hated my legs - admittedly I wouldn't win a Miss lovely legs competition - but quite frankly who cares now )

So a final submission, Cream - I feel free !
