Good morning, everybody

I need help. :)

I was married for 37 years. I left my marriage about 3-1/2 years ago and I created a completely new life for myself.

About the middle of this year I will have my second book published part of which tracks my disconnection from my relationship, the actual separation and learning to live by myself. It was an amazing process, painful (very), creative, intense and rewarding beyond measure.

It got me thinking that I can't be the only woman who left a marriage/relationship after at least 25 years but I couldn't find any information about how the experience was for other women.

I would like to learn what setbacks they experienced, what obstacles they found and what triumphs they experienced. I would also like to know if they're currently living on their own, whether they met someone else, what they learned from the experience and what support they had or wished they'd had.

The survey is anonymous.

Please let me know if you'd like to participate. If you do, please contact me at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

I would love to hear from you.

Sue

bit of a one sided survey, surely even males can give you the same result perhaps even from a slightly different angle :-)

Agree with SK.Callum on this one, It's not just husbands that cheat or whatever on there wife, it's also us men who have been cheated on etc. We are all in the same boat and share the same feelings so don't leave us out, we hurt to !!

My only thought is 37 years of marriage is a pretty good run.

I think if I had made it to pensionable age I wouldnt have bothered divorcing.

My husband has just left me after 36years together i was just 16yrs when we met so not of pensionable age if you do the maths. When I read on this site how devistated people are after 2-3yrs together think how bad it can be when he has a mid life crises and walks away without a backward glance after all those years together.

I see from this that its another one of those people who ask for somthing but when they dont get the answers they want they dont bother to come back. So therefore sueplumtree must belong to the iron knickers brigade of all men are *ossers so therefore the questions were biased against men.:P

If you look at her website she is a life coach and sells her life coaching skills.

What a shame she didn't mention that in her initial posting!
