Looked at POF and Match.com, just know its not for me, I have stopped looking and am going to let destiny decide my ultimate fate. At least it will mean i will have the time to work on myself

I might add smooch.com to my search engine!
I sometimes feel frustrated as I have no friends to go out with - they''re in couples. They say they will go out, but it never seems to happen :silly:I''m not sulking - honest B)My best friend died almost five years ago now, and no one has sort of taken her place and I miss her incredibly.

BUT this means there isn''t anyone I can trust enough to say if I was to meet up with someone.

My lot are getting on a bit now and I''m coming up to 50 - so time I got a life back really.

Hi all
Thank you for your replies it certainly created lots of interest.
Well I joined a site and the first guy I spoke to we hit it off straight away He joined the same time as me. We continued to chat online then email and text eventually met still going strong. We live a few miles apart and as cheesey as it sounds kept passing each other throughout our careers.
We are both very happy and taking each day as it comes.
Anyone thinking of trying this route slow cautious dont give away too much and always opt for a lunch date first.

Fab news:) :):). Yes it can work for some of us very quickly. But I also know of others who have been trying to use Internet dating for 2 years and had no joy.

It''s a great way to meet people, the only way for some. Be careful, take all sensible safety measures and have fun. It worked for me too and certainly boosted my confidence at the start, suddenly I realised there were plenty more fish (and many decent ones !!!) my ex was soon overtaken on all qualities :cheer:
