Don't trust anyone.

Don't give yourself completely to any one person.

Have a secret stash of money that he doesn't know about.

Be true to yourself. There's no excuse for abuse.

1. Unconditional "friendship"

2. Hypocrites --how people pretend as good person even they are liers.

Having children puts the power into the hands of the woman.
Courts are outrageously favourable to the woman because its all 'in the interests of the children' that she gets the kids, the house and the assets whilst he gets the bills.

If, like me, you are a loving father then the hurt will take a long time to fade (over 2 yrs down the line and it still hurts like hell).

JLGsDad,

I am a mother 10 years down the line of the father having the kids, the house, the assets, the legal aid to keep same whilst I paid my way...please spare a thought for the small number of mothers in situations similar to the fathers...some having the added difficulties of having no career or family network :)
