What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

Do you need help sorting out a fair financial settlement?

Our consultant service offers expert advice and support to help you reach agreement on a fair financial settlement quickly, and for less than a quarter of the cost of using a traditional high street solicitor.

Just wanted to share that after being told that I''d never do it, I''d never get in, they''d never have me, I''m too stupid, I can''t because my place is looking after him, that I''ve been accepted for a place at University today.
I''m so chuffed! I wanted this since before we met, but was told all the above so many times that I began to think maybe he was right. After all, he had me convinced I was pretty worthless and useless and incompetent at everything else.
So today I am proud. I know I''ve got lots of fantastically hard work ahead, but after all I''ve been through - no, all he put me through - this is something I *WILL* achieve.
So far I''ve spent 2 years mending myself emotionally, and the divorce is nowhere near over, but this is a massive step on my journey towards re-discovering myself.
May we all take those small steps, and sometimes big ones towards personal happiness and fulfilment!

Congratulations - it is really hard when you are put down so much that you believe they are right my x was exactly the same so I know how hard it is to do even the smallest thing (right) & know / no realise - oh I can do it or I can do it right. Almost as if you don''t believe that you are able / worth anything.

But you are & you can & this is huge - hard work but rewarding & a huge step in become you, becoming whole again.

Again congratulations on wards & upwards & don''t look back.
