What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

Do you need help sorting out a fair financial settlement?

Yesterday I wrote a post about ex Internet Dating which wasn''t the happiest of posts so today I''m hoping for the feel good factor:)
I wonder who has done something since their Divorce that they never believed they would do?
2 weeks ago I appeared on stage in a comedy sketch and totally enjoyed the eperience.I have never done anything like this before and never imagined I would be brave enough to do it.It was only a small audience, less than 200,but it felt wonderful hearing them laugh.I am now making new friends with the others in the Group and my life is opening up to new activities and people I never expected to meet.

Not quite absailing for me, but have got my independence back and am free of being controlled :).

I suppose something I never thought I would do was being brave enough to try internet dating, but I did, and am now still seeing the the guy I met last August:)

Sadly I never thought I''d be bringing up my children alone as a single parent, but I am and am proud of myself, as many of us know its not easy!!

I did the Edinburgh MoonWalk Marathon in June, midnight to 7.45 just less than 8 hours for the 26.2 miles..

Now this is something I would never have done or been able to do, nor allowed to do back in the day. It was a hard slog & the last 10 miles was by sheer determination only but did it.

My life has changed completely & I am beginning to be happy with me as I am which I thought I could never be, still got a way to go but getting there.

Plus as others have said, "we" my kids & I are coping, it''s hard work but we are happy in our lives & as yet the ground hasn''t swallowed us up.
