What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

Do you need help sorting out a fair financial settlement?

Our consultant service offers expert advice and support to help you reach agreement on a fair financial settlement quickly, and for less than a quarter of the cost of using a traditional high street solicitor.

Cried, cried & cried then as my 20 year old car had died I went and bought a convertible! its an old car but the day I came out of the food shop and found two men drooling over it was great. They told me, "What a beautiful car", I said thankyou and put my shopping in the boot, then one of them said, " I am surprised your husband lets you drive it", My response, "I SWOOPED HIM FOR IT!!! Wow that made me smile, oh and the look on their faces :)

I would love to say that I had a great big party. All my mates came round and I got very drunk. But it was a great big zero. I didnt hang the flags out. I didnt feel good about it. Or bad about it. Nothing happened. I got the bit of paper and shoved it in the draw of bits of paper that I file now and again, when it gets too big a pile. Bit boring really. I just got on with my life... C.

Ok I might treat myself and buy a bottle of red wine NOT ON OFFER AT TESCOS :)

If you want to join me drinking it and you''re in the Nottingham area, let me know :P
