I changed my name back after we separated (couldn't wait). I never wanted to take his name anyway, its such an outdated and sexist concept. I was too young to argue at the time but its not something i'd do again. I don't see the issue with having a different surname to your children - it happens in many cultures but I guess its just a western thing that we all conform to.
