What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

Something that I have had to go through several times in the past 2 years and probably will several times more.

As I hate being single and lonely :(

So I am not on my own then.

I guess we can relate to it.

Well on a positive note, we are on here talking, listening and reading.
It''s a start as there are lots of people who are in a similar and worse state.

I think being single and lonely are two separate issues.
I was in a very long marriage but extremely lonely.
Equally, I bump into people, start a conversation (yes, I know...I talk to anyone and everyone)..and they say they are single and not lonely.

Frankly I am struggling with both - being single and loneliness.
