Trying to lift myself from the pit of despair I have tried smiling, whenever I feel down I put on a silly smile, I work for myself on a farm so it doesn''t matter how ridiculous I look.

I even practice my smile in front of the mirror just to make sure my eyes are smiling not only my mouth. Made me realize it has been a long time since my eyes have smiled.

Anyone having down days, weeks or months try it don,t worry about your mouth make your eyes smile.

Nice post :) When I was feeling down, I read a couple of self help books, and one made a particular point about smiling a lot.

I also went through this stage.

Seeing my stupid swollen eyes, staring back at me,was not a nice thing, also I could see the pain in my eyes.So trying to break that cycle I tried the smiling at myself to see if could eliminate the pain.

Walking around with a smile that was fixed,I think made me look like a moron, but gradually that smile relaxed and become more natural.
Now that smile reaches my eyes,I cannot see any pain in them, maybe some regrets but no pain....

When the laughter came back into my life,I knew I would be okay,as they say laughter is the best medicine;) ;) I for one,so agree with that, maybe we all need to laugh more...
