Well today (21st) should have been my 12th wedding anniversary instead I am divorced and off to see the pantomime with my little one as I thought this was a fitting celebration to what was my marriage after all I did marry a panto dame!

Happy Christmas everyone

LOL my x wrote in her diary that she couldn''t stand the possibility of being married for 25 years. She left just after her 23 anniversary. Well she didn''t get her wish !! She hit the 26th anniversary before the divorce was finalised !! And no I didn''t send her a card !!!

Anniversaries are hard and good on you for something fun and seeing the humour in it. On the day ex remarried (boys refused to go) we went to a fun park with a rollercoaster, which was better than the emotional roller coaster of the separation. Hope you have a lovely time Driven. x

You sound relieved about it all being over Driven. I hope you enjoy the pantomime - a fitting way to celebrate the anniversary.
Funnily enough the 21st is the date our marriage ended when my ex was arrested for violence and assault at home. He ended up in prison for a week!

Driven - I hope your
and your little one enjoy the panto - and a good public boo at a baddy sounds perfect for today. Boo hiss from me too. (I was determined not to do a play on words that I often seem to do - this seemed too important a sentiment but I really can''t help but think that these people that cheat really represent the back end of the pantomine horse in some way)

Thank you all for your comments

This evening my friend had organised a smallish get together she is currently going through a divorce also and has a child with special needs like me too. We have and are each other''s rock. She also for the last year has been a full time carer for her child who had a breakdown due to the school not being able to care for his needs so he hasn''t been in school for the past year. She has had to fight and go to tribunal to get this recognised and fight for a place in a specialist private school which will give him 2:1 care along with therapies (I may also need to go down this route at a later stage). She found out in Friday that the tribunal agreed with her and that he can''t return to the mainstream school but is to go to the specialist school from January paid for by the local authority. This is a massive step forward for them both giving them both back a life and hopefully a future for her son so we are going to celebrate the winter solecist by saying goodbye to the dark of winter and of the past and welcoming in the light the birth of a new year by lighting Chinese lanterns. Strange maybe but we needed to celebrate this new start to both if our lives somehow and unfortunately a human sacrifice was out if the question large amounts if bubbles will of course follow I also get the house transferred to me on the 29th so bring on 2015

That''s a damn good ending Driven. Your friend must be so happy. I love the Chinese lantern idea and may copy it. How nice to have the house signed over to you.
