Driven, you have endured a lot this year, but you have come through it all, your still standing hun.
These December anniversaries:dry: were we mad or what?
With Xmas around times are stressful enough without the added stress of a wedding..
Xmas Eve was mine,it all kicked off in December and divorce finalised in December,so you could say December is quite an eventful month for me;)
Luckily I have moved on from that,he was my life, and now he is not simple....
I seen him yesterday, and he was in a great deal of pain....Karma paying a visit methinks:)
New Years Eve we do the fireworks and champers,as most do,but we also send 2 Chinese Lanterns up,for our Mam and Dad,carrying the love we all still have for them both...
A New Year, new beginnings for us all,
Driven I am so glad that yours will start so postivily...
It''s great to read a positive post about moving on.
The ''panto dame'' reference made me chuckle.
My ex is more like one of the props on the stage - a cardboard cut-out, incapable of expressing emotion or feeling.
My anniversary is actually tomorrow but it won''t affect me as we never really celebrated it & he wasn''t the type to send a card or flowers.
I hadn''t thought about the date until just now.
I sent him a text on our anniversary the first year after we split saying ''thanks for breaking every single vow''. I don''t know why I bothered really but it was still very raw then.
I''ll be spending tomorrow Christmas shopping, having coffee with a friend and then a family Christmas evening meal at a country pub. I''m sure if I mention the date my family will raise a toast - to the fact that he''s out of my life for good!!
Driven - so glad you both had a good time. Have fun with your eldest too. You sound like such a loving caring wonderful Mum.....and for Mum read person......you deserve a good Christmas. Please look after yourself as well as those around you.
