How about a few fund raiser Wiki meets?

Ideas??

Just a thought.

This site has really helped me so off to make a donation. But there are obviously those who cant given circumstances so maybe some other ways exist??

Another site i use for a hobby has a for sale section where people donat 5% of the sale price to the club... simple but brings in cash. With many of us moving to smaller places and new places some scope there?

And if done on a voluntary basis people could donate through the current means?

I am sure with so many of us using the site there will be a few great ideas...

It''s an interesting idea, I don''t know how it would work though.

Wiki is free, it always will be, and thinking about it, most people come to wiki because money is tight, often lots has gone to pay lawyers.

I donated £5, but probably of more importance is feedback, if the site can show it''s of use to people then it is more likely to keep whatever the government pay.

So donations aside if you think wiki is worth keeping spend two minutes and say so :)

Another site I use simply sends round a periodical email (I think once a year) asking for donations. Such things have to be worded very carefully - otherwise they sound somewhat belligerent.

A HUGE thank you to everyone who has left feedback, or made generous donations.

You don''t need to write lots in the feedback section, just a few words saying how Wiki has helped you either on the forum or on the helpline. It all helps :)
