Wiki peeps,

I am implementing some essential technical changes today connected to the URL (or address) given to every page on the Wiki site.

The site has many sections and it is possible that these new page addresses could cause a few technical malfunctions in some areas.

Fiona has just reported a PM problem which may be connected to these changes.

If you get a technical glitch today....you may solve it by deleting the cache in your browser (to get rid of copies of the old style pages).

You can do this..

In Firefox:
- tools >> Options
go to Network tab....where you see Cache press 'Clear Now'

In IE:
- tools >> options
go to general tab....delete history...delete copies of webpages (i hope this is right...my IE is in french so i am translating)

If there is a particular page that you get a bug on you can very easily make sure that page is the latest version by pressing the 'refresh' button on your browser.

Also try logging out and back in again so you enter the new version of the site as a fresh user session.

And.....if all that doesnt help....

please report the bug on the tech support forum and I will get to work on it.

Ian

Ruby,

IE7 is working for me. :side:

Roughly 80% of peeps access the site using IE so there would be uproar if IE wasn't working in general on Wikivorce.

I would guess that thre is something wrong with your IE installation / config. Perhaps you might want to re-install it.

Or just dump it and use Firefox :cheer:

Your instructions for Firefox didn't work for me - maybe because I'm on a mac. I had to go to 'Firefox' - then 'Preferences' - then 'Advanced'- then press 'clear now'...
