Hi. My husband of 18 years has left me to cohabit my best friend. He is using the children (6 and 13) as pawns with emotional balckmail. He says if I don't pay him expenses to come and see them he won't. Is this correct?
He hasn't paid anything towards them since he left and has used money she owes me for fuel and car insurance, saying I am responsible for their care.

As far as I can see, he should be paying you - 20% of his net salary.

Can't comment any further without knowing more of the facts. However, on the face of it, if he's any sort of a father, he shouldn't be asking money to see his kids.
