What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

Hi

I am looking for some advice please.

Our family home is on the market but I feel overpriced. We have a letter from the estate agent saying it is between £15K to £30K overpriced. I asked my x2b if we could lower the asking price by £15K to which he asked his solicitor advice (what the hell do solicitors know about the housing market) and she has given him the option of waiting which he is doing. Is there anything I can do to lower the price without his consent? I am desperate to get out of here and move on with my life.

Any comments would be great.
Thanks
Danielle
