What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

Hi

Done all the divorce by myself and will be applying for my absolute soon.

DJ awarded that the ex must pay me my costs back.

Other than the obvious petition, bailiff and absolute costs what else should I ask for without seeming a greedy monkey and alienating the DJ.

Can or should I ask for my annual leave to be paid back to me at two half days for when I've had to take the docs to court (for nisi and absolute stages where docs need to be sworn), or are you expected to just use your hols up when you need to go to court.

thanks
