What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

Do you need help sorting out a fair financial settlement?

Our consultant service offers expert advice and support to help you reach agreement on a fair financial settlement quickly, and for less than a quarter of the cost of using a traditional high street solicitor.

Hi Rob,

I am going away for the weekend, first time in ages! lol. But I will answer your post as soon as I get back, in fact I have printed it off so i can get my head round it! lol.

I also know how things change when a new partner comes on the scene. I got married to my NP and we are at the FH stage, with his ex wife! (well we have had the FH, but its been adjourned till October)

Anyway yes I would love to see their faces too when they realise you are now SR, because now they will be facing YOU and you know more about the case than any solicitor ever will and YOU can keep control of it. They can throw all the legal jargon at you they like! Someone on here will always know the answer to it! Lol. Dont worry or fret about it some of us will help you every step of the way. At the end of the day its putting in front of a Judge facts and figures that will be backed up with evidence.
One thing, now you have got rid of your solicitors, have you asked them for the file they have? If you have paid them, you are entitled to have that file! Make sure you get it.

I totally understand where you are coming from with debts ect and I need to show you how these will all be taken into account.

Like I say, I will get back in touch, dont think i have forgotten you! :)Have a good weekend.

Kind Regards
Louise

firstly louise i cant thank you enough for taking your time to help me , you have given me a new strength and vigor to carry on.
My bill is going to be paid next week another £1900 ! and i have already requested my file bundle , so will probably take 2 days to wade through that.
In a way what im looking forward to is asking the questions i want to ask and also not letting it rest or being charged just to find out the answer lol.

I hope you have a good weekend , sounds like you deserve it !.

Many Thanks

Rob
