Hi

My partner is getting divorced, it has been dragging on for about 5 years. In the meantime my partner and I have had a daughter and I opened an account in her name for her 18th birthday. As she is under 7 it is currently in my name also.

Does he need to disclose this account in his exchange of form E''s?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Bit confused if you opened account for your daughter for her 18th birthday how is she under 7?

Your partner would only need to disclose his accounts in form E, not yours or your daughters.

I would disclose it by putting a copy of a statement on the Form E with all your other bank statements but I wouldn''t include it as an asset on the Form E unless its a large amount of money. He can explain why if this is ever challenged and can''t be criticised for not disclosing it.
