What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

Can anyone sugest a mortgage company who will offer a mortgage based on combined income from part-time wage plus working tax credit, child tax credit, child benefit and child maintenance payments?

The total of all the above amounts to around £1700.00 net per month.

Any suggestions would be gratefully received.

Cheers
Ambel

www.moneysupermarket.com/Mortgages/secur...bkid=mortgages&x wouldnt jump inoto them to quick look very carefully at things. I dont know about where you live but house prices are now begining to slowly drop many people dropping by £5000 to sell, so beware you dont end up with a house worth less than you paid for it.

Hi, I applied for a mortgage with the Halifax bank. They took into account my part-time salary, my maintenance, my child benefit and child tax credits as these are regular sources of income. Good Luck!
