What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

I've been sent a paper copy of form E in the post by my wife's solicitors. I'd really like to work through this myself before consulting a solicitor so have been looking online for an electronic version. The official version is a .pdf with the save feature disabled. Does anyone know where I can get a version I can work on and save? I'm happy to pay for it

Yes thanks, I've seen these. I'm really after an electronic copy I can edit and save rather than print off and fill in by hand
