What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

Do you need help sorting out a fair financial settlement?

Our consultant service offers expert advice and support to help you reach agreement on a fair financial settlement quickly, and for less than a quarter of the cost of using a traditional high street solicitor.

He obviously earns enough to pay you Spousal support?

Can't your solicitor apply for Maintenance (pending suit) through a court order for him to pay?

The MPS should have been tomorrow (3rd attempt- 2 cancelled by him already- he was on holiday playing golf) The solicitor very negative- says he won't pay and there is not a lot we can do to alter that.We have got to get a penal notice to order him to produce his bank statements.- she says if the court can't see that he has the money he won't be ordered to pay it! (but I might get a bigger slice of the pension)

you can stall the mortgage company by taking a mortgage holiday, you both have to sign it if you are joint names on mortgage, i tried this but my stbx told me to f*** off and she is not signing it and she wants the house repossessing

Snap- he won't sign anything wants his pound of flesh- sadly at the expense of his kids.I was supposed to keep quiet about his newly discovered gay tendencies- this is the punishment for not behaving like a good girl.....
