What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

Why is that i had to throw my husband out because of his cruelty towards me and his children he can keep the majority of his wages to fund his new life with his new partner whereas i have to go through the csa to claim any money of him but get it cut through my income support where is the fairness in that. He can go on holidays etc with her and i am still left on income support with no way for getting a job because of my youngest's school hours etc. That can't be fair?

I know it is so bloody frustrating, my ex to be can earn up to £ 70 ph but yet he has been assesed by the csa to be earining £170 pw so therefore he has to oay £38 per week for 2 children it makes me sick and so angry that they can get away with it through lies, hopwfully what will come around will be deserved.
