What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

Can anybody advise me, or point me in the direction of obtaining example wording of a basic simple Clean Break Consent Order, (that is free)where both parties agree that they dont want anything off either party, that I can use to submit to court.

Also what other forms do we need to submit with the consent order e.g. Do we also need to submit Information for a Consent Order form.

I have just obtained my Decree Nisi and want to submit the co before finalising the Absolute.

thanks

Forgot to ask - the FMH has already been transferred from the husbands sole name to my sole name, (no equity in fact negative equity and I paid his penalty on fixed mortgage) should I also incorporate this into the co, or does the clauses in the co already cover this.

thanks

Hello,

With regards to the thread about obtaining example wording of a clean break consent order please. My ex has agreed to take £x amount in full and final settlement. She is not interested in going after anything else. The divorce itself was completely amicable (Just got my absolute)

Many Thanks
