What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

The date our respective form E''s have to be at the court by is 6th June, and I filed mine last week as well as a copy to ex''s solicitors. Is there a deadline for him to send his copy to me, as I have not received it as yet? I suggested that the exchange took place last Thursday, butnothing has come through yet. I have reminded solicitors, what else can I do?

Same date as the date it has to be at Court, so I presume 6th June.

Does it not have to be six days before, same as court? Is there any way I can find out if court has received their copy?

I''ve read on here its quite a common tactic to exchange right at the last minute :(some have done it the day before the Court date, others after .................

I think the best thing to do is if you have not received the form E by the Court date to let the Judge know the other party has not provided Full financial disclosure.

I wrote to the court on Saturday morning, so they should have received letter today. At this rate I''ll be waiting until the First Appointment date! Not reasonable really as I''ll have no time to have a questionnaire ready. Very frustrating!!
I feel your pain Wedgey!
