What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

Can anyone help me please?

Ive applied for a job as a Civil Servant which requires background security clearance checks this is on top of a detailed CRB check.

Whilst going through Ancillary Relief Proceeding i unfortuneately did a typo error which gave the S2BX the opportunity to get a Penal Notice against me. I don''t exactly know what it was meant to do as never received anything/fine from the court but at the FH the judge did ask the other party if they wanted it to still stand, to which he said yes.

My question is: Firstly, when the government do there checks will it show up that I am going through court proceeding for finances. Secondly, will the Penal Notice be a black mark against my name when they do there searches?

Thanks for any response

Don`t worry it would only be a problem if the notice was enforced, other than that it means very little and no it wont show during a CRB check.

Thank you once again Dukey.

Im pleased as jobs are so hard to come by at the moment and didn''t want to be penalised.

By the way I will give you an update (under a seperatate post) of how my "handing down" hearing went with the Ex''s attempt to appeal.
