My ex and I have a Consent Order; i''m removing my name from the deeds in exchange for £10k. Once I have sent off form TR1, how long will it take for my name to be removed and confirmed as such?

A couple of weeks or less if the TR1 is sent to the Land Registry. However, the mortgagor has to agree to the transfer into your ex''s sole name otherwise it won''t happen.

Thank you. For what reason would the bank not agree?

If your ex doesn''t meet the lenders criteria they wont remove your name from the mortgage and you will remainly jointly liable for it.

In that case, the transfer won''t be held up. Provided that the TR1 is sent to the Land Registry without delay, the change to the records should occur within a couple of weeks.
