What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What circumstances can I spend savings?

Can I spend all my savings?

Can I lend it to my Father - his house is falling to bits and need fixing and the kids stay there and I want to live there in future with the kids. So it would benefit the kids.

Can I give to my children?

Can I put in a business. I' dont have a job at the moment as I am looking after kids. I would like to work for myself.

My savings were before I married. When I had kids it was for them. But I never got round to transferring the money.

I am worried about how this will be treated in the financial settlement.
