What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

Do you need help sorting out a fair financial settlement?

Our consultant service offers expert advice and support to help you reach agreement on a fair financial settlement quickly, and for less than a quarter of the cost of using a traditional high street solicitor.

Shall I put these in the bundle?

Hello,I am a litigant in person in a Financial Relief case however I am to serve a bundle for the FDR on August 18th. I have a a few questions with regards to what documents I should include. I know that whatever is included needs to be relevant to the case and be referred to during the hearing, even so would someone advise me on whether I should include the following?:
*The details of suitable accommodation for myself and children and other party that was sent to the other party in accordance with the last directions (but not requested to be sent to the court)

* A copy of email correspondence between myself and a mortgage broker giving his opinion on my mortgage capacity (again that was sent to the other party but not to the court as it was not directed)
*The Questionnaire and Schedule of Deficiencies I filed on the other party and their responses
*My up to date Form H
*Copies of a letter and email from the other party detailing the offers he made
*A copy of the email I was sent by the other party refusing my request to ask for an FDR adjournment (which was subsequently granted all the same)

Thank you so much in advance

I would put them all in. Make sure you have a clear index giving the date and title of the document.

NB FDR is a without prejudice discussion so not everything (ie wp offers) would go into a Final Hearing bundle. Let's hope you can get it sorted without FH.
