What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

my wife left me & the kids 7months ago i have struggled with the debt an mortgage since, running up more debt in the process, trying to look after my 2 children.
She has given me nothing an I cant get any interest in selling my home because the market is dead ?? I dont know how much longer I can leep things together without more money does anyone know if i can get any benifits as I fear I will lose the house once I cant pay the mortgage an think I would probably be better off unemployed an bludging from the state.

Any thoughts ideas or insperation
