What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

I'm not 100% on this but as I'm led to believe CM is not used to calculate benefits, it is disregarded (for example when I claimed housing benefit I got awarded as much as a friend of mine who gets £400 a month CM off her ex) as it's not considered a regular payment (in other words as it's not state benefit the NRP could just not pay it one month and then the RP would be scuppered)...as I said though I'm not 100% about it.
Sorry I cant be of more help.
