Hi lm just going through the first stage of a divorce,as my ex hubby had an affair, but got in first,to start the ball rolling, and l couldn''t put that down,as he started it first, and also l can''t afford not to say no,can''t afford this divorce, my question is l have taken him off one of my joint bank account, but lm still on the main one, with his wages, house hold bills going in and out ect,in it there is £10000,in saving.he has been paying the mortgage and the bills,as l walked out,in fact l left as his new bit was moving in
Can l take the saving from the account?and not get into trouble,as his mum had put it in there, for her safe keeping, and there isn''t anything from her to say its hers,or will the courts look into it,and say l can have half,he pays me £100 a months as he owes me £5000,and he said he will pay that over 5yrs,people have told me to take it,but l also on the mortgage, and he may stop paying it,if l take it,l think he wants the house,as he has now moved into her house as her divorce has come through,so he isn''t really there.
Can l take the money once my divorced is through if the courts don''t give me much,if we sell the house I''m lucky to walk away with about £3000,as it negative equity.any help would be gr8,as l have no idea.thanks
