What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

Do you need legal advice on a fair financial settlement?

We offer a consultation with experienced family solicitor for a low fixed fee. You will receive legal advice and a written report outlining your legal position and setting out what a fair settlement would look like based on your individual circumstances.

hello elizabeth, after 20 years and taking your child, i bet you want to kill him,im so sorry, your pain must be unimaginable, mine was only 10 years (married for 9)the thing i really really cant come to terms with is we were very happy, now i know it sounds daft but i know it is true, something happened a few months ago,and thats when the change happened,i did notice a little at the time, but its clear as day now,i dont know what the real truth is,(and i want to know,i cant rest untill i do)its got to be a woman,he swears blind its not but if he had told me i would not have been so ill,i have been worried sick about him.i would have had him back like a shot at first, as he had been the best i ever could have wished for,but not now.....what is it with all these marriages that end just like that with one spouse leaving without giving a reason????....maybe they are just plain gutless
