What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

She may have a small mortgage as she will also have an inheritance of about £40 - 60K coming to her as this process goes through.
Maybe I am naive but I would feel bad about taking someon''s inheiritance especially as it is after a recent loss (which is probably a contributory factor as to why we find ourselves in thie position.)
But then I will also have a mortgage probably larger because I have no inheiritance (mine went on part buying our FMH years ago).
The maintenance and wtc I claulated by using the CSA calculator and the WTC website - am I missing something then?

Dont feel bad- If it was the other way around she would be giong for it. And at the very least you can use it as a bargaining tool. You are entitled to this, so go for it.

I still dont think you would have to pay maintenance but again, you just never know.
