My Court Order states "The Petitioner shall pay or cause to be paid to the respondent for the benefit of the Petitioner and the children maintenance pending suit commencing 12th February 2012..........such payments shall be made by standing order on 12th of each month"

My ex seems to think this means the first payment is due on 12th March 2012? (I think he is assuming it works on arrears basis like the CSA payments) My Barrister gave me the impression that it needs to be paid on 12th February and again on 12th March and so on.

Can anyone confirm?

1st payment should have been made 12/02/12 and every month there after until further court order so yes he has already missed a payment!!!
