We don''t alimony in the uk - we do periodical payments. So much snappier! did you live together before you married? Of so, for how long? What are your respective incomes?

no we did not lived together before marriage. It was an arranged marriage in India.
I got my degree Nisi from UK last month. After marriage i came to UK and was trying to arrange things for her to join me here but she started creating all sorts of problems as she was a heavy drinker. She left my house in Delhi after 180 days.
i am just thinking can court ask me for any kind of maintenance to pay her.
Although in my NISI order the judge has mentioned no order for any payments.
Thanks for responding.

In English law, I can''t see any sensible prospect of you being ordered to maintain her.
