I am separated from my wife although we both still live in the marital home with our 2 children. Do i have any liability for maintenance while this set up continues? If not what contributions am I expected/ legally obliged to make towards child care/ welfare?

A non resident parent is a parent who is not living in the same household as the child. So while this continues my inclination is to suggest the CSA cannot be involved ; but you have a responsibility in law to support your child.
