What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

My ex is taking me to Court despite me making numerous proposals for a settlement. I have suggested she takes the proceeds of our Cash Isa''s which equal £110000. The former matrimonial home and rental properties which would provide her with a surplus of £1200 / month after all bills such as mortgage, utilites etc are paid. She says this is not enough even though it''s about £200 / month more than I''m left with. Does she have a case?

Thanks

On the face of it this looks highly unbalanced. She gets £110K and a house ?

So what would you have to offset this ?

Does she work ? Your post implies she does. Do these figures you have quoted take account of tax credits ?

It is impossible to advise without more information.
