What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

Just don''t give up!! Judges are generally fair in sometimes an obscure way. Costs a bomb if you go the whole way represented. You need to add up the loss against the gain! If you can''t afford representation self rep. One thing I don''t know is if the outcome would have changed if I had self repped, and not sure then I was brave enough then ( had. A complex case) but given a second chance I would represent myself and fight all the way.
