Partner left property 7 yrs ago and I have been paying mortgage etc ever since. Am I at liberty to instigate the sale of said property and retain the bulk of any equity or does this have to remain a 50% situation?

Not married lived together since 1988.Have limited contact with partner.no children living at home grown up and left.
