The home i shared with my ex for nearly 10 years(7 of which as a married couple) was purchased by her two years prior to my moving in. During this time I contributed to half the mortgage and household bills as well as spending thousands on home improvements. We remortgaged the property into both our names and had my name added to the title deeds. The house has increased in value by over 50K since my moving in, can anybody tell me if i would have a claim to some of the equity given the circumstances. I would be gratefull for any advice and interested to hear outcomes from people with a similar situation in scotland.
