What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

Wonder if anyone can help. Am trying to find out what my partners house sold for when it was repossessed in 2008/9. Does anyone know how we can do this with little or no cost.:)

Had a look on there and the house isn''t there. Will it include repossessions? He is paying a small amount a month to a company with no evidence of what the house sold for. He said there should have been enough he bought it for 125,000 (x council) and it was worth 210,000. He has requested a copy of all paperwork they have.

Not sure if it will show a repossession sold price - I can''t see why, but I guess not if you have had a look, do you know what estate agent the lender used? Perhaps they may tell you, failing that, I suppose it might be worth giving the lender a ring and see if they may help you
