Deferred charge on property was created by lisalisa
In a separation agreement, the property was transferred to wife but with a deferred charge to a set value exercisable on events such as remarriage/house sale/18th birthday of youngest child.
Can someone explain what deferred charge actually means please?
Once the money is paid to ex-husband, what (if anything) needs to happen?

It means a sum of money that has to be paid is secured against the property.

Once it has been paid the charge can be removed.
