Could anyone tell me if a Direct Access Barrister when representing you, has to comply with the Human Rights Act. I have read \"In the UK, human rights are protected by the Human Rights Act 1998. Only public authorities must follow the Human Rights Act\".

I would not consider Direct Access Barristers to be public authorities, so a bit confused.

For context can you expand on how they should follow it?
Usually, it's the court/gov that has to follow it.
