What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

Hi, been looking to use the site service of Brethertons and one of the prerequisites is that we both agree on the reason.

Well my reason is the reason i'm divorcing her but does she have to agree to that just so i use Brethertons?

Just need our house sold and she's refusing so a divorce is my last option.

It is much better if you are both in agreement about the divorce, this means you can then use an uncontested divorce service, such as the one you've seen on this site. Perhaps give the helpline a call to discuss your options?
