Help - citing adultery! was created by DangerGirl
I am hoping someone knowledgeable will be able to help me here!!!

I am completing form D8 for my diy divorce which is due to my stbx's adultery which he is admitting.

On the Particulars section of the form, according to the notes, this is where I have to state the dates and places where the adultery took place. My ex started an affair whilst working away from home last June which continued up and until I found out last November.

My question is - do I have to give specific dates/places or can I state the date the affair started and give both their addresses and that it was an on-going affair?

If I do have to provide specific dates and places, how many of these do I have to give?

Many thanks!

Hi DG!

I am doing my divorce through a Solicitor, and doing my husband for adultery.

I told my sol the dates my husband had said to me when it started, which was from Mid Jan onwards.

My sol wrote on the petition that the adultery started around and about Jan/Feb and it was accepted when the petition went to the court. I think if you put down a rough time like mine it will be acceptable.

I don't know if this helps you or not, but I wish you luck with your DIY divorce.

Thanks for that - that is helpful.

What made me laugh is that my stbx has trouble remembering his mother's birthday - there's no way he'll remember specific dates!

Did you have to provide addresses as to where it (;)lol) took place?

Hi DangerGirl,

I glad my info has helped you.

Regarding where it took place ;)all I could say was the actual areas he could be living in at the time. Which for me was two neighbouring counties.

If you have the location or area that should be sufficient I would of thought.

Good Luck

CrusaderGirl :)

Thanks for that - don't think a single piece of paper would have covered it if I had to state all the dates and places :(. I'm going to state the date it started (he can remember that, arse) and give the date I found out.

Will set to tomorrow night with my forms (and a bottle of wine ;))

DG xx

When filling in my forms - I didnt actually know the precise date (and I didnt want to ask) so my sol also wrote on the petition that the adultery started around and about (the date) and it was accepted when the petition went to the court. :(

I think if you put down a rough time like mine it will be acceptable

Good Luck DG

With your form filling, remember not too much wine until after you've filled out those forms.:P
