Hello, i am new to this community and i really find the discussions very interesting.I just have concerns if anybody have experienced the same as I have now, here's my story, I have filed for a petition to my wife who lives overseas with our kids under the 5 years separation category ( we both have our own partners), i sent the statment of arrangement of children w/ the petition, when we separated officially in 2003 we agreed that she can have the children and I will give monthly financial support which I did from the last 5 years without fail, now that she received the petition and acknowledgement of service she called me and did not agree with the arrangement of children that I stated and she wont sign the service and said that she will make her own arrangemnet which I ok'd it, now she called me again and asked for increase in child support as she said it wasnt enough, and until now she hasnt returned the acknowledgment which was sent in April 22 and she received the acknowledgment on the 30th of april. What do you thinks is the best thing for me to do if she made her own arrangement of children although she hasnt returned the acknowledgement yet, and I dont agree with what she's asking for? Can anyone help please!:(

Hi there

As she has admitted receiving the papers you can make an application for service to be deemed so that you do not have to wait for her to return the acknowledgment. There is a really good post in here somewhere from Attilla about how to prepare the paperwork - I will find it and post the link.

I know that 14 days has lapsed but will they consider the fact that it might take longer for the post as she lives overseas? and if i filled for the service to be deemed does this means that they will apply for a bailiff order, does it cover overseas? There are choices that I can choose from if respondent did not respond after 14 days, but I am concerned at which to choose and what to do?Please help, and thank you for the advise, I was trying to search for the atilla posts that you have mentioned and hopefully I will get some answers too.Thank you again.
