I am currently transferring a piece of land into my sole name as part of my divorce settlement. I am doing this without a solicitor to save costs. My ex husbands solicitors have returned the signed TR1 form to me but it is a photo copy. Is this acceptable by the land registry or does it need to be an origional. Many thanks for your help in anticipation.

I don`t actually know, many TR1`s fly about on wiki but as far as i know its always the original that goes to land registry, a quick call to them should clear it up, oh and let us know the answer.

Just to confirm what the Land Registry have said about the TR1 form being a photo copy. It is ok so long as the signitures on it are not part of the photo copy, but are ogigional. Just though I would let you know for future reference.
