What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

Hi Everyone

I hope you can help !!

Going through the paperwork of a amicable, 2 year consent divorce. I am the Petitioner and my wife is the respondent.

We have completed a statement of arrangements which we have agreed upon which I included in the submission but has not been returned with the reponse from the court.

I sent the filled in and sent the D80d and D84 form in however, I have received a letter back stating hte D80d is defective because I hadnt included Exhibit C, and hadnt included the Acknowledgement of Service.

I am trying to go back through the forms but I am stuck on what I need to include and what needs to be signed on the last page. Please could someone give me a idea on what I need to put.

Thanks
M

Include the AoS, the D10

Exhibit C

If your ex signed D10 C Clark

Write C Clark in the box, don`t write Claire Clark.

Thanks Dukey, appreciate your quick reply

I''m still a bit unclear.

So I need to include the D10 (acknowledgement of service) and enter her name as it appears in the signature. However, on the form it refers to this as ''A''

Then the 3rd part states I identify the signature as ....that appears at the foot of the document, which I have attached to this statement and marked ''C'' ??

Not sure whether I need to acknowledge the D10 as ''A'' and then the ex''s signature at the bottom as ''C''

Yes include the D10

Well i must say changing all the forms to make them easy to complete has worked a treat, NOT.

Long story short use the way she signs on the D10, this goes in "C".

Yeah, tell me about it...I thought things were going too well !! Thankfully, we are still on good terms.

So, I include the D10 with a big ''A'' at the top and complete the relevant section on the D80d. And then put a big ''C'' on the D10 where she has signed and complete the relevant section on the D80d. ion both cases using the name she signed with.

In terms of the Statement of agreement about the kids ''B'' will I need to re-submit this too or will the court already have this ??

Thanks again for your help, really appreciate it :)
