Hi Charles, thanks a million for this rewrite, it definitely reads so much better! Will add dates as suggested. The only thing is that he moved out (not me), but I will amend this, I suppose this doesn''t matter? Our matrimonial home was a rented 2 bed flat, but I have basically given/lend him money (for a deposit and first months rent) to find elsewhere to live (as he would not be able to afford our flat), as it was unbearable to continue to live together.
My next problem is that he does not seem willing to give me his new address, however our current rental agency has obtained his temporary address. They obviously cannot give this to me due to data protection reasons however are willing to forward mail if needed. As I would like to send out the petition
asap, can I put the agency''s address as his address and have them forward it? Or would this not be accepted? I don''t see any other way to get his address at the moment... Thanks again!
Many thanks for your help.
I have another question that I was hoping you or anyone else could help with...
I spoke to the Wikivorce helpline yesterday who told me that I cannot send the petition
to him via the agency so now I''m a bit confused... I have asked my ex yesterday again for his address and no answer. How would I go about sending it via the agency? Would I just put the agency''s address on the form and then the court will send it to them and I ask them to forward it to him once they receive it? I think this could work as I could give them a prepaid recorded delivery envelope to forward it in which case I could track whether he receives it. The risk is of course that he does not respond, in which case what would I do next? The Wikivorce helpline guy told me that I would have to dispense service and that I would really need a solicitor for this however I really cannot afford to engage any solicitor and would prefer to avoid having to do so. Could I dispense service by myself or is this completely impossible? If my husband doesn''t respond and I then have to go for dispensing service, would I have to pay the court fees twice? Many thanks again
